Location: Likasi – Education Project Needs a Sponsor
Schools in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) face significant challenges because of widespread poverty. Many schools lack basic infrastructure such as classrooms, desks, chairs, libraries, and sanitary facilities. This shortage of resources affects the quality of education and limits students’ ability to learn effectively. Additionally, underfunded schools often struggle to hire and retain qualified teachers, further impacting education outcomes. Poverty not only affects the physical infrastructure of schools but also the ability of families to afford school fees, uniforms, and supplies, creating multiple barriers to education.
